Omg this is the first buffet we'll Mexican buffet that is actually Mexican the flavors are delicious just like back home...the place is clean staff is really polite very good service I will highly recommend this place to everyone it's delicious and it's not going to empty you're pockets or charge u for u drink even if you' don't want one. Come on by taste it u will be happy. Hopefully they open one closer to home. Oooo by the way corn tortillas are made in the minute.

The food that I tried was delicious, the nopalitos cooked in three different ways were my favorite, like tasting my moms and aunts cooking, the pork ribs in green sauce I definitely will be coming back for more. The service is excellent...

Stopped by a weekday late afternoon. Despite not being rush hour, they had a good variety of food and lots of protein. Food was authentic Mexican and tasted fresh. For a buffet, it was good and the price was incredible. Service was also excellent.

These place has home cooking flavors there red pork was great even there red cactus with the egg white made into small gorditas. Have to go again to try the rest of the food allot of good choices.

Mexican food is more than just sustenance, when done properly it’s an experience. The lovely ladies that prepare this menagerie of Mexican delicacies put the truest of real flavors in each of these dishes. I do not remember another place with better sazon; you feel a warm homely embrace in each bite. After trying Mexican restaurants all over DFW for 3 years, I can confidently say I found my Mecca, my little happy place where comfort and flavor inundates every one of your senses and leave you in a state of culinary ecstasy. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food (not Tex-Mex) and want to try a little of everything, this place hits the spot. El Refran is an all-you-can-eat buffet with a wide variety of traditional dishes — birria, mole, tamales, pozole, enchiladas, chiles rellenos, made-to-order quesadillas, and more. 25 includes unlimited food and aguas frescas like horchata and jamaica. Everything tastes home-cooked, like something you'd get at a family gathering in Mexico. It’s a small, no-frills, hole-in-the-wall spot with friendly staff and fast service. Gets busy on weekends, but it’s worth it. If you’re craving real Mexican flavors and want to sample different dishes in one meal, this place is it.

24 a person without a drink. Mole! I have had none that I liked better. And the pork posole was tender beyond belief. I also enjoyed the mondongo. The ceviche had mushy fish that might have been frozen and while the flavor was good the texture was off. Requisite fish with bones and head tasted nice but a lot salty. Did I mention the mole? Spicy and chocolates done well. Ask for the carne asada. It comes special order but is tender and delicious. It has alllll the garlic. No charge with buffet. This place is a bit expensive so was empty on a Friday night. Still worth the visit.
